Robert Lingafelter was an employee of Community Action Partnership of Riverside County for five years.


Robert passed away in October of 1996 after a long battle with lung cancer. Robert dedicated his life to helping poor communities realize their hopes for the future. He was a trainer, a developer, and an organizer. As agency planner and then chief administrator of the fiscal and planning units at Community Action. 


To honor Robert, CAP Riverside established the Lingafelter Program Development Fund that provides small grants to grassroots organizations to help them with start up costs, such as, helping them obtain their incorporation and 501c(3) status.


Funds, training, and technical assistance are available to help non-profit organizations. In order to sustain their programs and services. The Lingafelter program development funds provide grants to help organizations apply for non-profit status.
