Robert Lingafelter was an employee of Community Action Partnership of Riverside County for five years.
He passed away October 1996 after a long battle with lung cancer. Robert dedicated his life to helping poor communities realize their hopes for the future. He was a trainer, a developer, and an organizer. As agency planner and then chief administrator of the fiscal and planning units at CAP Riverside, Robert was an indefatigable worker. He has left an indelible mark on the agency, county, state, and nation.
To honor Robert, CAP Riverside established the Lingafelter Program Development Fund that provides small grants to grassroots organizations to help them with start up costs, such as, helping them obtain their incorporation and 501c(3) status.
